Robert Jerome Boucher, 82, of Crookston, Minnesota, died Friday morning, January 21, 2005 in the Villa St. Vincent Nursing Home in Crookston with his family at his side. Robert was born on March 12, 1922 in the St. Vincent Hospital in Crookston, the son of Wilfred and Parmelia (Riopelle) Boucher. Robert was baptized and confirmed in St. Anne's Catholic Church in Crookston. He attended St. Joseph's Academy, Cathedral High School and graduated from the Northwest School of Agriculture in 1941. From 1942 until 1943, during World War ll, Robert served overseas and with the 108th Infantry Company in the U.S. Army as a security guard at Leavenworth prison before being medically discharged. After his discharge he returned to the area to continue working on the family farm. On August 27, 1955, Robert was united in marriage to Signe Gladys Olson of Baudette, Minnesota. The couple were married at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Crookston and made their home in rural Crookston where they farmed together and raised their family. He had been very active in the rural community and was a long-time member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception parish. Robert served twelve years on the Cenex Board, was a lifetime member of V.F.W. Post #1902, lifetime member of American Legion Post #20, a sixty year member of Eagles Aerie #873, and was a third degree Knights of Columbus council member. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. Before becoming a member of the Cathedral, Robert belonged to St. Anne's parish and was one of the first members to be appointed as a Eucharistic minister. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends. Loving family members include his wife of forty-nine years, Gladys; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Timothy and Beth Boucher and their daughter, Monique Boucher, of Crookston, MN, Thomas Boucher of Minneapolis, MN, and Mark and Karen Boucher and their children, Bryan and Dylan Boucher, of Crookston; two daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy and Rick Chaput and their children, Erica (Dusty) Uttermark and Andrea Chaput ; Kristie and Tim Palmer and their children, Kelsey and Mykl Palmer, all of Crookston; a brother-in-law, Clayton Paulson of Grand Forks, ND; sister-in-law, Beverly (Gayle) Becklund of Baudette, MN; sister-in-law, Helen Arthur of Indiana; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Rosaire, Donald, Valerian and two infant brothers, Wilfred Jr. and Roland Boucher; and sisters Lorraine Holm, Yvonne Paulson. The funeral service for Robert Boucher will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 25, 2005 at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Crookston. Visitation will be on Monday at the church from 5-7:00 P.M., with a 7:00 P.M. prayer service, and also for an hour before the funeral. Military honors will be provided by the Crookston Veterans Council. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Crookston. Published in the Grand Forks Herald on 1/23/2005.

LEMIEUX, Edward "Ned," 82, of Tampa, died January 21, 2005. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Virginia "Dee Dee"; sons, Bill and his wife, Syd, of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Jim and Joe of Ohio; daughter, Mary Jo Del Puppo of St. Michael's, Md.; 10 grandchildren, Nicole, Josiane, Tony, Chris, Matt, Joe, Alison, Genna, Alex and Jimi; sister, Mary Jo Koster; and brother, Alfred J. Lemieux; both of Ohio. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and was married July 10, 1944, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where he was a member. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed golf. Ned retired from CSX Railroad as an assistant vice president of customer service. A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
