So in the previous ep, we see that Kei has exposed the principal and her doings wrt to Kei’s incident to the media. Tsubame and the students confront Kei, who just merely shrugs and expresses his satisfaction with the situation as it is. However, the principal holds a press meet on her own where she announces her decision to sell the Meiran High to someone else, effectively shutting it down and stopping all lessons. The students are outraged and seal the school from outsiders as a sign of protest, while Kei is furious as it means that the principal is just merely escaping from the problem and not admitting her mistakes. Kei personally appears at her aptment and both have a conversation charged with tension and full of great acting on the part of both Asano and Kamiki. When the principal says that she will still be able to retain part of her power, the expression in Kei’s eyes suddenly turns cold and becomes so filled with fury that it strikes a frightening contrast with his unusually tranquil face, with only a small twitch of his eye and the crumpling of his book by his hands betraying the degree of the raging inferno inside. His mouth then finally contorts slightly with fury and Kei’s voice is basically strained with the effort he is exerting to rein it in.
