Minneapolis Star and Tribune Obituaries Gerhard Frost, Lutheran theologian, dies The Rev. Gerhard E. Frost, 78, a retired theology professor at Luther Northwestern Seminary, died of Saturday at his St. Paul home. Frost taught at the St.

Paul seminary, formerly known as Luther Theological Seminary, from 1956 until retiring in 1977. For several years there he also was dean of students. "He was a great teacher and a gifted poet, whose teaching reflected his profound insights," said the Rev. Alvin Rogness, retired president of Luther Northwestern Seminary. "He had a great ability in seeing profound truths in commonplace things and in incidents in his own life, and he could take the common and ordinary and clothe them in truth and beauty.

Hermione Gingold, the deep-voiced English actress whose American, credits range from "A Music" on Broadway to the films "Gigi" and "The Music Man," died Sunday at the age of 89. Gingold, a Manhattan resident, died at Lenox Hill Hospital, where she had been admitted April 30, according to administrator Sophie Perini. The cause of death was not given.

Gingold was born in 1897 in London. She made her stage debut in London as Cardinal Wolsey in a kindergarten production of "Henry VIII." of Pine City, died of emphysema Friday at the Walker Methodist Health Center in Minneapolis. Nelson and his father, Albert, bought the Pine City Bottling Works in 1927. It became a Coca-Cola franchise in 1936 and, from that year until 1980, Vern Nelson remained president of the corporation. In an unusual arrangement with a competitor, the Pine City plant also started bottling 7Up about 1940. The Rev.

Gerhard E. Frost in 1977 Also noted Archie Fairly Carr 77, a zoologist whose studies unraveled many mysteries about giant sea turtles and whose writings and conservation efforts have helped to save them from near extinction, died of cancer at his home on Wewa Pond near Micanopy, Fla. He was affiliated with the University of Florida in Gainesville for his entire 55-year career. Using laborious tagging techniques and research funds from the Navy, Carr was able to document the remarkable navigational abilities of green turtles, which may journey 1,200 miles each way from the beaches of Ascension Island, where they hatch, to the east coast of South America, where they mature, and then back to Ascension in the southern Atlantic Ocean to lay their eggs five or six years after their birth. Stillwater man dies when vehicle flips A 24-year-old Stillwater man died late Saturday when he lost control of the Jeep he was driving in Bayport Township. Brian Stanley Hybsa, of 4115 Mendel Av.

was thrown from the Jeep and pinned underneath it, authorities said. He was found about 11:57 p.m. off the road near Osgood Av. and Olinda Blvd. (County Rd.

14). Hybsa was found by a passing motorist shortly after the accident happened. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a spokesman for the Ramsey County medical examiner's office.
